Background Investigations: Investigation Options

Klitzke & Associates will create a customized background investigation package that satisfies the needs of your organization. Social Security Number Trace and Address Locator

This search will verify an applicant’s social security number, date of issue and location where issued, and identify previous residential addresses of an applicant. This provides a “map” showing where records should be checked. Also, discloses social security numbers that have not been issued by The Social Security Administration or have been filed with death claims. 

Criminal Record Search

This search can help protect the employer from “negligent hiring” litigation. Recent court rulings have determined that employers can be held liable for damaging actions of their employees, if, based on the employees previous actions, he or she should have been disqualified for the position. This search also helps to provide a safe, productive work environment by reducing the threat of problematic situations, harassment, or violence in the workplace. Driving Record Search

Education Verification

One of the most common areas of resume fraud occurs in the overstatement of the applicant’s education. The education verification can help determine if the applicant is qualified to do the job. 

Employment Verification

This verification can provide you with key information about an applicant’s work history, productivity and overall work ethic.  A standard verification includes contacting formers employer to obtain date of hire, termination, job title or position held, and rehire eligibility. Extended verification services includes all the information in the standard verification, plus contacting supervisors or managers to obtain information about work habits and general demeanor. Can include specific questions prepared by you.

Certificate & License Verification

We will confirm that an applicant is licensed in a specific discipline for the state(s) you request.

Credit Reports

If an applicant will handle money, have a company credit card, or be responsible for expensive equipment, a credit report can provide insight into an applicant’s financial responsibility as well as provide pertinent public records such as collections or judgments.

Civil Record Search 

Any judgments, liens or pending civil suits such as tax liens, bankruptcy, child support judgments, etc. may hinder an applicant’s performance and ability to do their job. It could also increase the potential for employee theft and abuse.

Asset Search

A search conducted to determine the ownership of vehicles, boats, airplanes, and real estate to determine if the applicant’s life style is commensurate with the income the applicant may receive.

Worker's Compensation Record

Some people make a living off claims, others are applying for jobs requiring physical exertion when they know they are susceptible to injury. You have a right to protect your company. This report shows accident dates and types of injuries, and must be used within ADA guidelines.
